of wellbeing. Many health conditions can be completely reversed or avoided
simply by making dietary changes.
How do you make these changes? It can be difficult to do on your own, especially
when there are so many different theories out there about which diet is
best, which foods should be avoided, which should be consumed etc. The
amount of information is both overwhelming and often unreliable.
Tanya uses a common sense approach to nutrition. A healthy diet should not be
a painful experience in which you feel deprived. Instead it should be simple,
affordable and enable you to continue to eat the foods you enjoy!
She can create a personalized nutrition plan that caters to your specific needs,
goals and lifestyle. Through a series of questions, she will come to an
understanding of your present diet, and revise it in a way that suits you
specifically. Areas of focus include examining areas where deficiencies
might exist and/or foods best avoided.
Tanya specializes in weight management, prevention/ improvement of health conditions,
gluten-free eating, eating disorders, post-natal nutrition. Metabolism
testing and cognitive-behavior modification are incorporated into all program
choices.

This is ideal for clients who wish to make moderate changes in
diet and lifestyle to enhance their wellbeing. Working with the client’s
personal taste and introducing changes at a slower pace increases the likeliness
that changes become permanent. For some people, introducing radical changes
too quickly leads them to abandon the new diet altogether, as is often
the case with “fad” diets.
Extreme Diet Makeover
For clients who are interested in moving over to a completely healthy lifestyle.
This category is for those who wish to introduce dramatic changes to diet
that can promote optimum health. For some people, making such a change
requires an “all or nothing” attitude and approach to keep
them motivated and on track with their goal.
Personalized Meal Plan
For clients with hectic schedules finding the time to decide what to
eat, create the meal and sit down and eat meals can be perceived as near
impossible. This approach is also appropriate for individuals who are
unsure how to approach the sometimes overwhelming task of ensuring balanced
nutrition. An easy-to-follow, practical weekly meal plan based on your
personal preferences and nutritional requirements will be formulated.
This personalized

nutrients in a well-balanced healthy easy to follow format.

Tanya Ternowesky has her BASc. (Nutrition and Food) and her Human Services
Counsellor diploma, with a major in Mental Health and minor in Addictions.
Tanya offers:

The prescribed “diet” is based on a healthy balance of all types of foods with
emphasis on portion control. Tanya’s philosophy is that total deprivation serves
only to perpetuate the dieting cycle, and believes that weight loss and/or changing
eating habits, although a difficult journey, can and should be an enjoyable experience.

After working alongside a physician
at a Weight Loss clinic, Tanya’s personal passion to live a healthy lifestyle
was further developed, and she has since ventured on her own to ensure such services
